Day Thirty Three

Day 33 - A picture of the house you grew up in.

I don't think I even have a picture of the first two places where I lived, but I'll look. It's too bad, because my first house was mint chocolate chip green. It looked pretty awesome. If I find any I'll post them but for now, you get this.

This is where I moved to when I was I think 10. It was the summer before 6th grade started. I still live there presently.

Day Thirty Two

Day 32 - A picture of a crazy night.

This is Senior Cruise. It was in the beginning of October this year, and I would defiantly call it a crazy night. Hillary, Natalie, Katy, Scott and I took a limo down to the pier and back, which was pretty awesome. It was my first time riding in one. We were accidentally dropped off at the wrong pier, so we had to hunt down the right one.  It was only one pier down, but it was still kind of confusing. Once we were on the boat, we went up to the top to watch us launch off and look at the "giraffes/ dinosaurs".
I had a lot of fun, and a lot of crazy stuff went down. One of my very few stereotypical obnoxious High School drama episodes occurred there, it was the first time I observed high school "dancing" otherwise known as a grindfest (don't worry, I didn't participate), I was mildly concerned that I would be crushed by a falling ceiling and a bunch of crazy dancers (the dance was on the second floor and when you looked up at it from the first floor it was literally pulsing), my first limo ride, and Hillary and Scott got "engaged', even though they already were "married" freshman year. That was fun, we waited until people were quite and then created a scene where he proposed to her. Not too many people were actually paying attention, but it was funny to hear the teachers talk about it. All in all, I would say it was a pretty awesome night, and a great start to my senior year.

Day Thirty One

Day 31 - A picture of a tradition you have.

Sorry, I only have pictures of this from when I was little.

There's money hidden in there.

Every year for Labor day my family and I go to the Scott's Picnic. It's the company picnic for Kimberly Clark (which used to be called Scott's), where my paternal grandmother worked for a long long time. It's really a lot of fun and a great way to celebrate the end of summer before the school year starts again. They have a free BBQ lunch including all the ice cream you can eat (A few years ago, my uncle challenged my to an ice cream eating contest. I lost horrifically. I think I quit after about 11. When my siblings and I were younger we would also try our best to eat our age in ice cream), games for the kids, which almost always involves a minor monetary value for the winners, and the older people play horseshoes and stuff.   The place where they have it is near a river so people like to skip rocks and wade in the water and just generally hang out. We've been going there for honestly as long as I can remember and it's one of the longest standing traditions we have that I can think of. This year though they'll have to go without me, since I'll already be in Utah.

Day Thirty

Hey! We're half way done!
Day 30 - A picture of someone you miss.

This is Josh. We don't see each other as often anymore, now that he's old and has to work at stuff. He's pretty cool, and I miss our monthly adventures. He was also alluded to on day twenty six.

Day Twenty Nine

Day 29 - A picture that can always make you smile

Didn't I already do one just like this?

This was Halloween of 2008 I think. Guess what year of high school this was! Scott is in love with Mountain Dew, so whenever we have some we like to hide it from him and stuff. I'm pretty sure what happened here was that we told him that he couldn't have it unless he ran like a mile or something. So he jumped on this.... exercise deal and went at it for a minute or two. This was the first time Hillary, Scott, Katy and I got together for Halloween and the first time we watched this weird anime where a dragon turns into a jeep. I don't remember what it was called, but it was strange.

This happened this year at the beginning of April. Katy, Hillary, and I went to the local Cherry Blossom Festival and we wanted Scott to come with us but he decided he was too lame and was going to to stay cooped up in his basement and torture himself by watching the human centipede. So when we took pictures of ourselves in kimonos, we just pretended he was there. In the first picture Katy and I are linking arms with invisa-loser Scott, and in the second picture, Hillary and I are laughing at him. I think we ended up leaving him in the city.

Day Twenty Eight

Day 28 - A picture of something you're afraid of.

Hmmm, well, I covered the only thing that I'm really actively afraid of on day eighteen. Sure, I get freaked out when I decided to watch Marble Hornets late at night or something like that, but I'm not like always afraid of spiders or have some other kind of long term continuous fear, at least not that I can think of. So I guess I'll just have to put up something that I don't like and even though I won't go tearing off into the night when I see it, I'm not really fond of it at all.

Birds, what is wrong with them? They give me the creeps. The "pretty" birds that are more rare are alright but the commoner ones, like pigeons are just eerie. I don't know what it is about them exactly that I don't like. I guess mostly just that they're so weird and gross. Like I said earlier, I'm not afraid of them. If I walk outside and see a bird I'm not going to start freaking out, I'd just rather not have them be around me. So if you have a pet bird, congrats, I hope you enjoy it. Just don't expect me to hold it or anything.

Day Twenty Seven

Day 27 - A picture of yourself and a family member.

My elder brother and I are only a year and a half apart, so the pictures of us together when we were young are always pretty cute.

This is my younger brother and I when we were both pretty little.

and the three of us

and then I have a younger sister. Here she is with my younger brother and I.

and the four of us.

These are all from awhile ago though. Here's a photo of the four of us presently.

Wow, I'm just doing great at this whole one photo per day thing aren't I?
